Our Halloween Festivities!

One of our favorite holidays is Halloween and this year we did so many fun things to celebrate!! Here are a bunch of pictures to help illustrate all of the festivities!
First of all, we went to our ward's Halloween Trunk-or-Treat! Greg and I used the same costumes as last year and little Brooklyn was a lady bug ballerina!
Brooklyn liked chewing on her headband instead of wearing it Our friends the Lorz and our friends the Bradshaws Cute Nathan and Daniel enjoying their cupcakes Brooklyn and I handing out candy
Greg and Brooklyn (she wouldn't let go of the candy!)
We had Elder See and Elder Schroeder come over for dinner last Sunday and make Halloween cookies and homemade suckers. Elder See was the master at cutting out sugar cookies!
Showing off the Elder's awesome decorating skills
Greg and Elder Schroeder busy frosting
Then on Monday we went over to our friends Stephanie and Eric Anderson's house and carved pumpkins with them! Greg carved both his and Brooklyn's pumpkin!
It was nice and warm outside carving!
My awesome witch pumpkin
Brooklyn's baby pumpkinOur family of pumpkins!

On Halloween we went to the trick-or-treat Spooktacular at the zoo!

Brooklyn ready to do some serious trick-or-treating

She was the cutest lil lady bug ever!

The line from the freeway to the zoo was so long! We waited for over a half our on the freeway just to turn into the zoo's entrance!

Brooklyn decided she'd take a little power nap while we waited!

Getting ready to go in the zoo! I loved all of the orange Halloween lights wrapped around the palm trees!

There were tons and tons of people and cute little kids all dressed up! It was such a nice warm night! The Zoo had over a thousand pumpkins carved and lit up all throughout the path.

Some of the characters that were dressed up

I forgot to make sure the batteries were charged before we left, so I only got a few pictures while we were at the zoo! The spooktacular was a lot of fun and even Brooklyn loved it! She sat in her stroller laughing and saying wow, the whole time we were there! We will definitely be going again next year, and I'll make sure to have the batteries charged!

Disney Train!

A couple of weeks ago the Disney Train promoting Disney's new movie, A Christmas Carol came to Jacksonville. Brooklyn and I along with some friends of ours went to the Amtrax station to take a tour of the train. Disney was doing a nation wide train tour promoting their new movie, which started in L.A. and would make their way to Orlando for the premier. It was a free event and really fun to see the props and techniques of how they made the movie. After the train tour, we were able to go into a big tent and watch special previews of the 3-D movie. Here are a few pictures from the train!

More 1 Year Old Pics!

Here are a few more of Brooklyn's 1 year old pictures! She is growing up so fast and is learning sooo much!! She weighs 23.8 lbs and is 30 1/2" tall! She still loves to show people her teeth and that she is one! It is so cute! One of her new talents is folding her arms when you tell her to say her prayers! We have been trying really hard the last couple of months to pray with Brooklyn at meals and bedtime. She quickly picked up on folding her arms and we love it! Brooklyn is such a fun little girl and we love her sooo much!

Incentive for the Grandparents!

While most of you are sitting at home back West, you are probably feeling a little like the people in these two photos....FREEZING COLD! Well, we have a little bit of incentive to get you guys to come visit us!!
This is You

AND
This is what we did today, in OCTOBER
Today was a perfect day to hit the beach!! The weather was nice and sunny and the ocean was sooo warm! The temperatures lately have hit the mid-high 80's and it is so nice!

Since our parents have called and told us about the freezing weather they've been having lately, we just wanted to throw out this incentive for them to come visit us in Florida!!! Brooklyn really misses getting spoiled by all of her Grandparents and is looking forward to your visits!

Random Pictures

Here are just some random that we have taken the last couple of weeks! Nothing new has been happening in our lives, we are just hanging out and having fun!!! Enjoy the pics!

Brooklyn showing you she is 1
Crazy kid likes to suck her toes, which is pretty gross
Brooklyn trying to share her toys with her friend Evelyn
Smiling for the camera

Ok so this is Brooklyn's new hobby. She loves to go into the kitchen and empty all of the pots and pans onto the floor and then climb in the cupboard and sit there for forever!
She thinks this is the funnest thing ever!

Last week Brooklyn and I went to the Jacksonville Zoo with some of our friends!
It was a hot humid day and you can tell Brooklyn was ready to be done, but the zoo was really awesome!
Giraffes are always my favorite and at this zoo you can pay $2 and feed the giraffes big leaves of lettuce. They get so close up that you are seriously like a foot away from their heads! Brooklyn loved it
The Gorilla that acted like an old man
Brooklyn posing with the gorilla
She would never look at the camera, she just kept staring and laughing at the elephants!

So that was the last couple weeks of our lives, in a nutshell! We are all still doing great and loving living here in Florida! Greg finished his midterms last week and so far has done really well on them, scoring in the top 10% of his classes! Brooklyn and I are so proud of him and of how hard he has been working, he is a great dad and husband and we love him so much!
