Our Halloween Festivities!

One of our favorite holidays is Halloween and this year we did so many fun things to celebrate!! Here are a bunch of pictures to help illustrate all of the festivities!
First of all, we went to our ward's Halloween Trunk-or-Treat! Greg and I used the same costumes as last year and little Brooklyn was a lady bug ballerina!
Brooklyn liked chewing on her headband instead of wearing it Our friends the Lorz and our friends the Bradshaws Cute Nathan and Daniel enjoying their cupcakes Brooklyn and I handing out candy
Greg and Brooklyn (she wouldn't let go of the candy!)
We had Elder See and Elder Schroeder come over for dinner last Sunday and make Halloween cookies and homemade suckers. Elder See was the master at cutting out sugar cookies!
Showing off the Elder's awesome decorating skills
Greg and Elder Schroeder busy frosting
Then on Monday we went over to our friends Stephanie and Eric Anderson's house and carved pumpkins with them! Greg carved both his and Brooklyn's pumpkin!
It was nice and warm outside carving!
My awesome witch pumpkin

On Halloween we went to the trick-or-treat Spooktacular at the zoo!

Brooklyn ready to do some serious trick-or-treating

She was the cutest lil lady bug ever!

The line from the freeway to the zoo was so long! We waited for over a half our on the freeway just to turn into the zoo's entrance!

Brooklyn decided she'd take a little power nap while we waited!

Getting ready to go in the zoo! I loved all of the orange Halloween lights wrapped around the palm trees!

There were tons and tons of people and cute little kids all dressed up! It was such a nice warm night! The Zoo had over a thousand pumpkins carved and lit up all throughout the path.

Some of the characters that were dressed up

I forgot to make sure the batteries were charged before we left, so I only got a few pictures while we were at the zoo! The spooktacular was a lot of fun and even Brooklyn loved it! She sat in her stroller laughing and saying wow, the whole time we were there! We will definitely be going again next year, and I'll make sure to have the batteries charged!

Disney Train!

A couple of weeks ago the Disney Train promoting Disney's new movie, A Christmas Carol came to Jacksonville. Brooklyn and I along with some friends of ours went to the Amtrax station to take a tour of the train. Disney was doing a nation wide train tour promoting their new movie, which started in L.A. and would make their way to Orlando for the premier. It was a free event and really fun to see the props and techniques of how they made the movie. After the train tour, we were able to go into a big tent and watch special previews of the 3-D movie. Here are a few pictures from the train!
