Enchanted Forest

After our trip to the Coast we stayed in Salem for a couple of extra days to take Brooklyn to Enchanted Forest. Brooklyn always talks about how much she misses Disney World, so this surprise was so fun for her!
At Hansel and Gretel's cottage
This park had so many little exhibits fashioned after a lot of Brooklyn's favorite stories, so she had a lot of fun running back and forth to all of them.
Looking in at Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
 Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
 Even Bostyn loved it!
The man with the crooked house threw Brooklyn off a little bit. She thought it was so funny that she had to walk sideways through the house.

One of Greg's favorites since he was a kid: The old woman that lived in a shoe, carpet slide. It was definitely one of Brooklyn's favorites too!
Meanwhile Bostyn was content chewing on her toes...
Waiting in line for the bobsled ride!
Greg took Brooklyn onto the Log ride- a very small version of Splash Mountain. Bostyn had so much fun watching all of the logs come splashing down the track.
Brooklyn was a little startled after the drop!
We got Brooklyn an unlimited kiddie ride pass. She was in heaven, and could go on every ride as many times as she wanted!

She loved the mini ferris wheel too!
This little one always keeps us smiling!
Brooklyn kept herself so busy riding the train,
 and the Frog Hopper!
I lost count at how many times she rode this! Each time the ride stopped she'd ask the lady to ride it again, and every time she had to get off and run back around to get in line. At first she was hanging on for dear life, and by the end of the day she had her hands in the air screaming. She had a blast!
We loved seeing her having so much fun!
While we were on vacation this little one got those 2 bottom teeth and started crawling!
Before we could leave the park, Brooklyn insisted on riding the carpet slide a few more times! The line was dead so she kept running back to go "just one more time".
Even Bostyn got to go for a ride before we left!
 At the castle!
We have a tradition of always taking a picture of ourselves whenever we go somewhere..this was the best we got.
Greg's Grandpa Stan passed away this summer. He always held the tradition on taking all of the great grandkids to the local carousel and buying them a pass to ride the horses. Last summer we were able to visit and he took Brooklyn there and got her a 10 ride pass. We only used a few of them that trip, so I tucked the card away in case we ever made it back to the Carousel. So before leaving Salem  and heading back home, we stopped by the carousel to take a few rides to remember Great Grandpa.  Brooklyn was so excited. The crazy part was that the horse Brooklyn picked to ride first, was Great Grandpa's favorite, the one with the CTR badge!

 Riding Great Grandpa's favorite horse!
Another tradition Brooklyn and I have together is to get a smashed penny whenever we go somewhere cool. Brooklyn loves it!

We were driving home on Sunday, so we decided to stop by the Portland Temple and see their new visitor center. Brooklyn always loves to see the statue of Christ.

I love this picture-She just looks so innocent and little staring at the fountains.
 The gorgeous temple!

It was the perfect way to end such a great week!

Can you say busy summer?!?!

I feel like I am never going to get caught up posting about all of the fun things we have done this summer! We have been so busy doing so many things!
Every summer in Baker they have the Miner's Jubilee parade and a week long flea market sort of thing in the park. We needed something to keep us busy while Greg was busy studying for the bar Exam so we headed to the park!
Brooklyn was so excited to play in the bounce house and go down the big slides.
After playing for a little bit, we went and got our free snow cones and walked around looking at all of the booths.
Meanwhile, Bostyn swiped my snow cone..
At the parade.
During the week of Miner's Jubilee, they also bring in a little carnival.
Brooklyn was so excited to go on some fun rides!
Earlier in the summer my Mom and Grandma came over for a quick visit. While they were here, we all went  bowling.
We all love it!
Especially Brooklyn, she gets so excited every single time!
The girls were so happy they go to spend time with two of their grandmas.
If you know Brooklyn, you know she is constantly dressing up and changing her clothes! She sure has a good imagination and comes up with the funniest combinations!
Bath time is one of our favorite parts of the day! Bostyn gets so excited when she hears the bath tub running and takes off crawling full speed to the bathroom. Brooklyn loves to have lots of bubbles and thinks it is so funny to look like Santa Claus.
Her shirt says it all!
I have found quite a few good deals garage sale-ing this summer and these skates were one of them! They look brand new and were only $2. Brooklyn loves to go out and "skate".
Bostyn is always so happy and has such a big smile.
In August Brooklyn had two weeks of swimming lessons! She did so awesome and was one of the best swimmers in her group, we can thank living in Florida for that!
She was so excited to go to her lessons every day.
Bostyn kept herself entertained while we watched Brooklyn swim.
Brooklyn really is a pretty good swimmer! Her teacher said technically she would be in the next level up, but because she was only 3 at the time and couldn't touch the bottom of the pool, she had to be in the lower level.
While Zack and Nicole were still here, they introduced Bostyn to pickles and she went CRAZY for them! She was diving all over the place to try and get a bite.
Love this picture!
Even though we weren't in Florida, this summer was still so hot! So we invited a few friends over for a pool/sprinkler party!
These cute little guys Reggie and Orrin got to come over,
and these two cuties Skylar and Mckenzie.

Uncle Zack was getting in some good practice being a dad this summer, and got Bostyn to snuggle and fall asleep!
Before it was time for Zack and Nicole to move back to Idaho, we all took a trip to a water park in Pendelton for the day.
They had so many fun things for kids and Brooklyn loved going down this water slide!

Bostyn loved this bouncy swing and splashing in the water!
The library here is really great! All summer long they had a summer reading program where you kept track of how much time you spent reading and at the end of the summer you could turn your time sheets in for raffle tickets to spend at their carnival. Brooklyn read over 40 hours this summer and got sooo many tickets to buy prizes with!
They had so many little game/prize stations and Brooklyn had a blast running around and trying everything out!
Now that Bostyn is getting older, Brooklyn loves playing with her!  They both love playing with barbies and have so much fun together

Brooklyn loves her baby sister so much! They are already such great friends.
While Court was home from college for a few weeks we got busy canning peaches!
Brooklyn loves to help with anything that we do! Her job was to peel the skin of the peaches after we boiled them, and she was actually really good at it!
We canned 60 pounds of peaches! It was so stinking fun though.
Bostyn was even a part of the action holding on to the rings for us!
Remember how I said Brooklyn loves to dress up....check out this beauty!
Even when she is at a friend's house, it's the first thing she does!
Slowly but surely I arm making progress on blogging our summer!! One of these days I will finally be caught up!
