Blessing Day!

This weekend we were able to bless Brooklyn! Greg did such a great job and gave her such a beautiful blessing! Both sides of our families were able to come up and spend the weekend with us! It was a lot of fun having them here! After church my dad was able to take some family pictures of us and some of Brooklyn, and i think they turned out great, even though Brookyln was in more of a serious than smiley mood! She looked soooo adorable in her little white dress! Here are just a few of the pics that my dad has sent us so far.

Craziness!!!

So wednesday soon after i had made my last post i was playing with Brooklyn on the floor and had her laying on her belly, and the next thing you know she rolled over onto her back! I couldn't believe it!! She was 1 day away from being 5wks old and already rolling over!!! Luckily Greg was right there too so he got to see her do it! I still can't believe some of things she is doing at such a young age! She hardly sleeps all day long, she has been smiling since she was 2 weeks old, she pretty much sleeps through the night, and now she is rolling over!! She is growing up so fast! I really hope that not everything happens this fast!!! I want her to stay small and cuddly as long as possible!

Better late than never!!

It has been forever since we have posted! Brooklyn is now 5 wks old and is growing up so fast!! She has been such a good baby and we love her to death!!! She almost sleeps through the night, she goes on 5-6 hours stretches before she wakes up and has been doing it since she was 2 1/2 weeks old, its great!! We decided to try a little photo shoot this week at home to ger her while she is still small, and I think they turned out pretty good. Brooklyn smiles all the time and is starting her little baby coos and noises; we are having fun watching and listening to her. Here are just some pics from the last month! I know there are a bunch to look at, but I had a hard time narrowing down my favorite pictures of her!

A little update

Brooklyn is one week old already!!! This week has gone by so fast and has been tons of fun! She is such a good baby and only cries if she is hungry! She had a little bit of jaundice when we left the hospital but after 2 days on the bili-blanket she is all better! Here are just a few pics from the last week.

Here's Our little Baby!!!

Here are just a few pics of our super cute baby girl!!! Brooklyn was born this morning at 11:25 and weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 12 oz and is 20 inches long!! She has dark hair that isnt extremely long but it's there!

This was right after she was born and all the nurses were busy cleaning her off. Im pretty sure she has gregs feet!

For those of you interested here are all the details. I had to be induced wednesday night, and by 9 o'clock i was all hooked up and ready to go. I went in having contractions every 2-5 mins but they weren't very strong at all. By 3 a.m. i was dilated to a 3 and was in a little more pain, but it wasn't too bad. Around 5:30 I was in so much pain, my contractions were so strong and coming every couple of minutes, my nurse kept asking me what my pain level was on a scale of 0-10, I told her a 7 because i wasn't sure how much worse it would get. By 6 a.m i was in so much pain but my nurses were getting switched out so i never got to tell them how bad it was and never got the chance to get some pain meds in my I.V. Finally at about 7 a.m. the new nurse came in and asked me what my pain level was at..i told her it was really bad and making me sick, so she decided to check me and I was at a 5. The nurse asked me what i wanted to do about the pain and she said people normally get the epidural around a 4. Well after about a half hour, this amazing man came in and gave me an epidural and i was pain free, it is the most amazing creation ever, I dont know how anyone can go through labor without it! After the epidural at 7:30 i was dilated to a 6. Greg left for a few mins to go shower and eat and 15 mins later they checked me and i was Dilated to a 9! It was amazing! By 10 o'clock i was all rested up from no sleep the night before and started pushing. After almost an hour and a half our sweet baby girl made her entrance! It was such a great experience, greg was such a good support, and now we have a beautiful daughter!

Introducing.....

Me! Still pregnant! I thought I'd post a little update on the baby situation for everyone...seeing that I am due tomorrow! We had another Dr. appointment today, and according to him "this baby is in no hurry to get out!" For the past two weeks i am still only dilated to barely a 1 and am only 50% ephaced. Plus i have had zero contractions, pains, anything!...so basically she is never going to come, at least that is how i feel right now! We ended up scheduling a date to be induced, so next wednesday night we will check into thet hospital, and hopefully by thursday the baby will be here! It would be sooner, but that is the soonest the hospital has room for us...go figure being in baby-ville! So that is all that is new with us, we are just hoping she proves the doc wrong and comes on her own the next couple of days!
