Lots and Lots of Pictures!!

Here are a bunch of pictures from the last couple of weeks! Not much has changed for us but we are still loving Florida, Greg is really enjoying law school and doing really well!!! And as for Brooklyn, she is getting sooo big, smart, and funny!
Here is a list of things she can do:
Stand for long periods of time
Say Mom, Dad, Dog, Duck, and Ball
Wave bye bye
Give hugs and kisses
Show you her teeth when you ask her to
Holds up one finger when you ask her how old she is
Empty the silverware from the dishwasher and hand them to us
Stack all of her toys, books, and the movies
Stand up on all fours forever
Open chapsticks and eat them
Take her diaper off
Call random people on the cell phone
and soo many other things that I can't think of right now!
Brooklyn is growing up so fast, and now seems more like a little girl than our baby. It is sad how fast it goes by, but also so exciting and fun to watch her learn and grow up! She is definitely keeping us busy and always laughing!
Sound asleep on our way back from St. Augustine
Being stubborn and not smiling
Me and Brooklyn
Greg and I
She loves to swing!
Brooklyn and Jackson at playgroup
One of her squinty smiles

She loves to pose like this and look out under her legs
Showing off her standing skills
Her "show me your teeth" smile
Just a funny picture
Trying not to smile
Our happy girl

Greg's new Love

This post is a request by Greg, the king of vaccuming! Recently we noticed that our old vaccum wasn't working very well, so we took a trip to walmart and invested in our new Dirt Devil. Greg loves it so much that he insisted on showing how great it is! The pictures below show how much dirt the vaccum picked up, after we had vaccumed earlier that day. For those of you who know Greg, you know he is obsessed with vaccuming, so after seeing all the dirt he was in LOVE!! So for any of you searching for a new vaccum we recommend the Dirt Devil!

Birthday Girl!!

Today was Brooklyn's first birthday!! We can't believe she is 1 already, this year has seriously flown by!!! While Greg was at school we had a Winnie the Pooh pool party with some of her little friends from our ward. Everyone had a lot of fun splashing around in the pool, playing pin the tail on Eeyore, and eating yummy cake shaped like Winnie the Pooh. Brooklyn definitely got spoiled from all of her grandparents and friends! Here are a BUNCH of pictures from the day and like my last few blogs, they are in random order!

First, here are just a couple little pictures to show how much she has grown up in the last year!
1 week old

Her first smile at 2 days old

and now Brooklyn at 1 YEAR!!!

The pre-party bath

Opening a present from Great-Grandma Magee
Loving the cash from Great Grandma and Grandpa Nicolayson
Showing off all of her presents from us, Grandma and Grandpa Merritt, and Grandma and Grandpa Baxter
She really likes Winnie the Pooh, but she loves Eeyore!

Playing pin the tail on Eeyore, a guy from Greg's class has a girlfriend that is an artist and she drew and painted the Eeyore for Brooklyn's party
All messy from the cake and loving it!

Our friends Maryanne, Nathan, and Daniel Lorz
Brooklyn loved the frosting

Little Evey, one of Brooklyn's best friends!
They are only 7 months apart.
More friends, Jackson and Pollyanna Brown
Some of the kids from the party and Brooklyn chowing down on the cake

Her first piece of cake and not quite sure what to do with it
Trying to sneak a taste of the frosting
Waiting patiently to dig in, she kept trying to grab bits of frosting
while everyone was singing to her
Everyone hanging out in the pool

My attempt at a Winnie the Pooh birthday cake

Brooklyn had a really great birthday and such a fun party! She liked opening all of the presents and cards that she recieved, she definitely is loved by everyone!!
