Family Pictures

We've gotten lucky and were able to have Greg's cousin Kacy take our pictures a couple of times this summer! I love them.

I love the pictures of these two together!

In July we went to Greg's Grandpa's funeral and since we were all together we finally got a picture of the entire family.
Kacy snapped a few more of our family too.
 Bostyn at 7 months!

These pictures are a little more recent.
I took a few 4 year old pictures of this cute girl..

I love taking pictures of her, I might be biased but I think she is gorgeous!
This picture is completely "Brooklyn" From her hair being in her favorite "curly princess" style, her tilted head and popped foot, to the flower in her hand, and of course her frog boots, this really shows exactly who she is!
Of course we can't forget this little cutie!

I can't believe she is just about 10 months old!

Seriously, they are just too cute!

Brooklyn's 4th Birthday

We celebrated Brooklyn's birthday in September! She was so excited to finally be 4!
Her last night as a 3 year old.
Like every kid, she couldn't wait to open up all of her presents!
One of her best buddies Jackson Brown sent her this Dora doll. She was so happy!
One of her favorite gifts, was a play makeup set.
The proud 4 year old showing off her loot!
She is a pro already, even without a mirror.
Greg's family has a tradition of going to El Erradero for every birthday! Uncle Jake wasn't home when she opened her presents, so we saved his so he could see her open it. She loves her princess towel.
Bostyn was pretty happy to be celebrating too.
Brooklyn was so excited that it was finally her turn to wear the birthday sombrero and have everyone sing to her!
and of course to get the yummy birthday treat.
After dinner we all headed to Dairy Queen to top off the night.
The next day, it was time for her party! Since Brooklyn was four on the 4th we had a "Jungle Dora Golden Treasure Safari" party.
Brooklyn's Dora invitations!
Once of all her friends came, they decorated their safari hats and binoculars.
Meanwhile, Swiper came in and stole their treasure chest and left them a map to help find it again.
Getting ready to go on their safari treasure hunt.
After crawling through the cave, they had to cross the Blue Lagoon...
Then they had to check the map to see where to go next.
They went through the big brown gate, and around the magical flowers...
Once they went through the dry desert, they had to climb over the mountain and finally found where Swiper stashed their treasure!
They were all so cute.
After they found their treasure, we played Pin the Tail on Swiper.

 Then it was present time!
I love how kids get so excited to open presents, even if it isn't for them.
Brooklyn picked out what kind of cake she wanted me to make. She was very specific that she wanted a "tall Dora cake". So we picked out some pictures online and this is what we came up with.

I am pretty sure she loved it!
 Singing Happy Birthday!

 Make a Wish!

After they ate their cake and ice cream they all went into Brooklyn's room and jumped on the bed listening to "Call Me Maybe". It was pretty cute.
Bostyn slept right through the party, but she woke up just in time to take a picture of all of Brooklyn's presents from her friends.
We all had so much celebrating her birthday! I still can't believe that we have a 4 year old in our family!!
