Fun, Fun, Fun

Brooklyn has been potty trained for the last month now! We started right after Christmas vacation and 2 days into it, she was accident free! She loved getting a sticker and a skittle each time she would go potty. We are still so surprised at how fast she caught on!

She was so proud of herself and so were we!

Every time she would go potty she would start screaming and clapping and yell "Come look! I peed!" It was pretty exciting.

Once the stickers came out for potty training she was hooked on them! Her current favorite thing to do is stick them all over her face and then ask for me to take a picture...

Princess Brooklyn! She wears a princess dress daily and loves spinning and dancing around the house.

Not only does she love to put stickers all over her face, but she loves to put my makeup all over the place too!

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go pick oranges for one of our playgroups! It was soo fun and finally made us feel like real "Floridians".

and of course in between picking oranges we had to stop and pick some flowers, she's a girl after her mother's own heart!

She was determined to reach high enough to grab another orange

and when we were all finished she had fun exploring the pond with her pals Ty and Shaefer.

The Greatest Show on Earth!

A couple of weeks ago the circus came to Jacksonville and we were so excited to go!! It was Brooklyn's first time going to the circus and she loved every minute of it!

Their trainer was amazing! I would have been so scared to be in a cage full of tigers!

Our other favorite were these bad boys! These elephants did some way cool tricks!

We had so much fun, and can't wait to go again!

Christmas Extravaganza Part 3!

After spending time at Greg's house they were great enough to let us take their van and drive to Star Valley for a week to see my family! We hadn't seen them since we moved to Florida a year and a half ago! On the way there we stopped to see the Idaho Falls Temple, where we were married!

The first day we spent with my family we went sledding! Brooklyn loved Uncle DeeJay's furry hat

It had been a few years since we had been sledding, we didn't quite have the hang of it anymore!

Brooklyn on the other hand, was a pro! She loved going with Uncle "Jay"

Greg decided to take Brooklyn on a trip down the hill...

Big mistake! Poor Brooklyn lost her boot and got her face all scratched up, but a few minutes later she was all warmed up and ready to go again!

After sledding we went back and got to have a 2nd Christmas! Brooklyn loved getting to open more presents!

She was soo excited to open this Snow White dress from Grandma and Grandpa Merritt

While we were in Wyoming we spent a few days at my Grandma's house! Brooklyn couldn't get enough of the snow

She even took her first snow machine ride with my Uncle Greg, she loved it and screamed when we took her off of it.

Wyoming definitely brought out the cowboy side of Greg

We also got to spend some time with our good friends Carrie and Troy Fowler and their family, while they were on vacation from Iowa! We went bowling and then went out for pizza.

Brooklyn had fun getting know her friends Katelyn and Kylie again!

It was Brooklyn's first time bowling and she loved it!

We had fun seeing lots of other family during our trip as well! Brooklyn had fun playing with her cousins Brytin and Ashtin

Grandpa Frank and Grandma Helen gave her this baby doll for Christmas and she was in heaven

While we were out about with my Dad, Greg got to take his first snow machine ride, it was so fun but SO cold!

For New Year's Eve we spent the night with my family at my Grandma Merritt's house. We had yummy food and played some fun games! Brooklyn just had to wear Uncle DeeJay's boots

and she had tons of fun playing with Uncle Jake

Before we headed back to Oregon we had a big dinner with all of my mom's side of the family!

We were even able to get a 5 generation of first daughters picture!

We had so much fun getting able to go out West for Christmas! It was fun seeing all of the snow and mountains and spending so much time with our families! But after 3 weeks in the freezing cold temperatures we sure were glad to come back and feel the warmth of Florida!
