Easter and Family Visit

A little bit before Easter our ward had a fun Primary activity for all of the kids.
Brooklyn loved playing "Choose the Right" Chutes and Ladders,
and was so excited to win a CTR ring!
Because of a big rainstorm they got to have an the Easter egg hunt inside the church.
We got to take Shaef with us, and he had so much fun finding eggs too!
Brooklyn said that Bostyn could even share her eggs with her.
Brooklyn loves to make crafts! So because of Easter we made Daddy and Brooklyn bunnies

She did everything but the cutting and was so proud of them!
The week before Easter, my mom, grandma, and little brother came to visit us! They surprised Brooklyn with Disney on Ice! We all loved it.

Our family after the show.
The girls with Great-Grandma, Grandma, and Uncle Jake. By this point Brooklyn was pretty tired and did not want to smile for the picture.
While everyone was here we also went to the zoo. They were having an Easter egg hunt and it was packed, but Brooklyn had so much fun!
We fought through the crowds and managed a picture with the Easter Bunny
Brooklyn was one of the lucky kids that happened to find a prize egg! She was so excited to get "Jazzoo".

The monkeys were so funny to watch! This guy kept running and flipping onto this basket and then would look up and smile at everyone, it was so funny!
Uncle Jake helped Brooklyn feed the giraffes too.
 We had so much fun!
In between going to the beach and swimming we finally made time to color eggs.
Uncle Jake, Grandma, and Brooklyn with all of their eggs.
We all loved the silly face stickers!
It was so fun having my family come for a quick visit before we move away from Florida!
My mom bought the girls matching dresses and had them waiting for Brooklyn to see when she woke up.
She was so excited to find the Easter baskets!
 Chubby little bunny!
 So cute!
Greg happened to catch an "action" shot as Brooklyn was attempting to jump and get the eggs from the top of the blinds.

Showing off the goods! They got so spoiled by my mom and grandma.
The day before Easter, Bostyn had a fever of 102, so we took her to the E.R. to make sure she was ok. While we were there they drew some blood and gave her an I.V. and her fever went away.
The next day the Dr. called us and told us her blood tests had come back showing bacteria growing in her blood cultures and that we needed to get her admitted to Wolfson's Childrens Hospital. So we rushed out the door and got her all checked in. They gave her another I.V. and took more blood to test again.
After 2 days in the hospital waitng for the results, the blood tests came back negative and we got to go home! They said the first tests must have gotten contaminated and that she was perfectly healthy! What a relief! But little Bostyn was quite the trooper through the whole ordeal.
Since we were at the hospital on Easter, the girls finally got to wear their new dresses to church the next week. They looked adorable!

We had such a fun Easter and were so glad that we could spend a week with my family! Also thank you to everyone that prayed for little Bostyn while we were in the Hospital. Whatever had caused her fever was completely gone and we are so grateful she is back to her happy self!

Oops!

Don't you hate it when you feel like you have been so great at keeping your blog updated, and then BAM you discover a file of pictures you didn't realise was there? Well that is this post. Our blog is our families version of a scrapbook, so I definitely didn't want to forget about all of these great memories.
A little bit ago our ward had a family camp-out that we were planning on going to. As luck would have it an hour or so before we were supposed to leave it started to down pour, so we decided to stay home and improvise.
Brooklyn was bummed we weren't going, so Greg took her to the store to get our "camping" supplies and I stayed home to get our "tent" and "campfire" ready.
She loved it! We got the laptop and lots of pillows and watched the Curious George movie.
Of course no camping trip is complete without Smores.

Brooklyn took maybe two bites and decided plain marshmallows were the way to go, crazy girl! We had tons of fun that night.
A quick picture after church, and Bostyn was NOT happy about it.
My in-laws gave me a sewing machine for Christmas so my first project was a skirt. I took Brooklyn to Joanns and let her pick whatever fabric she wanted. I followed some instructions off of Pinterest and after a couple of days of doing a "2 hour" skirt it was finished! I sure learned a lot though!
Our little model.
March 2nd was Greg's 27th birthday! I don't know who was more excited, Greg or Brooklyn.
She ran around the house and found all of the presents, and opened most of them too!
Showin' off the loot.
Brooklyn really wanted to bake her a dad a cake this year! She gets so excited to sing Happy Birthday and blow out the candles.

Greg said either a chocolate or vanilla cake would work, so we made both! Our first attempt at a "Zebra" cake turned out pretty well I think.
That weekend was also a free pre-season Sharks arena football game
Our traditional family picture we take after every event we go to. Brooklyn had a blast cheering and dancing to the music!
My three favorite people!
Little Bostyn also started smiling all of the time!
I decided to take Brooklyn on a little Mommy/Daughter date one day while Greg was at school. We went to McDonalds and then to see the Movie, The Lorax. We all loved it and had fun with our friend Juliana.
We love to celebrate every holiday, including St. Patrick's day! We made hand-print shamrocks, ate green pancakes and had a "rainbow" dinner!
Brooklyn loved helping make the fruit rainbow, but her favorite part was eating the cloud, a.k.a. the marshmallows.
We even made rainbow jello and it was delicious!
Brooklyn just so happened to have a sleepover the night of the midnight showing of The Hunger Games! I had been counting down the days to see this movie and Greg was a good sport and braved the crazy packed theater with me!
Bostyn was pretty excited too, as you can see. So excited in fact that she slept through the entire movie!
For the past month or so, we have been putting Bostyn in the exersaucer. She LOVES it. She has become quite the pro at standing and spinning around in circles.

They love every second of playtime they get with Dad.
I love these girls so much!
The weekend of General Conference, while the guys were off at their meetings we had our friends Kali and Miley join us for a movie night.
The girlies got to lay in a cool tent, much on popcorn, and watch Cinderella while Kali and I watched Footloose! These girls are best little friends, it is adorable to watch them interact with each other.
Being in Florida, we have been swimming quite a few times. We just so happen to have bought Brooklyn a swimsuit last year on clearance, that matched the one we bought for Bostyn. I love it!
It is crazy to see how fast these girls are growing up.
Bosty as Brooklyn calls her, is already 4 months old...
and they completely adore each other!
