Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve this year! We started off the night by making our traditional cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate.
While they were raising and cooking we acted out the Nativity. Bostyn was Mary and took care of baby Jesus.

 She was pretty adorable.
Brooklyn wanted to be the narrator and the Angel. She did a really good job telling the story and acting out her part.
Greg was a very stylish wise-man.

After she told the story, she was excited to act out her part and blow the trumpet!
 The lovely shepherd and angel.
and of course the wise-man showed up to give his present to baby Jesus.
Our attempt at a group shot. We took 5 or 6 pictures, and in every single one, Brooklyn was sticking her tongue out in them-so this was the best we got!
After the Nativity, we opened our Christmas Eve jammies.

 They love Doc McStuffins!
We love getting comfy new p.j. pants too!

 One last present before bedtime..
The girls always fought over the rice pack that we have and who got to use it at bedtime to stay warm, so I promised them I'd make them their own for Christmas. I was so surprised to see how excited they were about getting their own!
It was finally time for yummy cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate!

A quick shot of baby Kingston at 26 weeks!
All ready for bed and so excited for Christmas morning!
This wasn't exactly the picture I was going for, but two busy girls wouldn't stay still long enough to keep trying-but I still love it!
 Love Christmas time!
Right before bed, the girls were able to say goodbye to our little elf friend Jilly.
They were so cute giving her hugs and telling her goodbye! We can't wait til she comes back to visit us next Christmas.
Getting Santa's milk and cookies ready! Then they were off to bed.
Santa finally made his way to our house!
and he gobbled up all of the treats the girls left him too!
We love having so many fun traditions and seeing the girls have so much fun and get so excited about everything!

Winter Fun

A couple of weeks before Christmas, we went to the Enterprise light parade.
It had been pretty cold here, but we bundled up tight.
These girls love parades, no matter how long or short.

They were pretty excited to see Santa on his sleigh.
It lasted about all of 5 minutes, but they had fun waving and grabbing all of the candy.
Bostyn looked like a little marshmallow.
Brooklyn is growing up so fast.
Love these three!
Our elf friend Jilly came back to visit us for a few weeks. One night she had a tea party with all of the barbies.
Greg promised his office Christmas cookies, so for FHE one night we finally got them all made and frosted.

Some of the finished product. We made 8 or 9 platefuls for every office in the courthouse.
Another day, Jilly got caught coloring a picture for the girls.
Every year, the youth in our church put on a live Nativity. I forgot my camera last year, so I made sure to take it this time. They loved Eeyore the donkey.
We heard that the sheep weren't too nice, so we didn't get too close to them.
Some of the kids acting out the Nativity.
We love to look at Christmas lights. I never remembered to take my camera, but this is just a quick shot of our neighbor's house down the street. Their house is amazing and has so many lights and yard decorations. Anytime we were driving home at night, we had to drive down and look at the lights before we could go home.
Sam and Veronica had their baby boy on the 18th, so we drove down that weekend to see them all. While we were there we made our traditional Christmas suckers to hand out to our friends and neighbors.
The girls love them!

I think we made almost 200 suckers to hand out!
While we were there, we decided to go bowling. Bostyn was finally big enough to bowl too! She was so excited and loved it.

Court was home from school for the break too.
Brooklyn has always loved to go bowling. It had been quite a while since we had been able to do it.
She always wants to wear a skirt, even in the dead of winter!

Brooklyn and baby Tanner. The girls are in love with him!
Bostyn had a little cold that weekend so we tried to have her wear the doctor's mask so she wouldn't get the baby sick. She is obsessed with this little guy!
Tanner and Uncle Greg-it is still so weird to call him that!
I wish we lived closer so we could see him everyday! He is the sweetest little baby, and made us even more excited for our own little guy to get here!
Once we got home, the girls and I headed out to deliver our suckers. Brooklyn loved running door to door and handing them out to everyone.
Next up, is all about Christmas Eve!
