Life Lately

The first weekend of this month Grandma and Papa came up to visit us. They let the girls open their Valentine's Day presents early, so they could watch them.
Brooklyn was super excited about her Sofia the First notebook!
 They both loved their gifts!
Finally after 3 1/2 months of winter it finally snowed more than a couple of inches and the girls could go out and play!
Bostyn is so much bigger this year, and can actually run and jump in the snow.
 They love to play together!
Brooklyn would have stayed out there all day long if I would have let her.
 Love them!
I can't believe how grown up she is already.
While we were outside, I was shoveling the snow off the deck and our neighbor George came over with his tractor and plowed out our driveway. Then a few minutes later he brought over some old sleds for the girls to use, and then went and got his 4-wheeler to pull them around.
He reminds me so much of my Grandpa Wolfley, it is crazy.

They had so much fun! I am so grateful for the nice neighbors we have here.
Afterwards, Brooklyn ran around pulling Bostyn up and down the driveway.
It was so nice to be able to get out of the house and play outside for a little bit.

At my 32 week appointment I was measuring 35 weeks! So my Dr. sent me in for an ultrasound just to make sure there wasn't extra fluid or anything like that, and to measure the baby. Everything looked great, and it seems that this little guy just had a growth spurt and is already measuring 5lbs 6 ounces with 7 weeks to go. My Dr. says it looks like he's going to be a big baby. Lucky me! But at least we got to see this cute face again!

It has been snowing and snowing like crazy here, so Greg bundled up to go shovel it all. He doesn't have boots, a hat, or gloves...so he borrowed mine. What a goofball!
A couple of friends from church threw me a baby shower last weekend!

They made some yummy treats too.
Just a few of the ladies that came...the other half were getting food in the kitchen.
Of course we had to play the string around the belly game...I definitely would rather be the guesser than the one being measured any day.
A baby shower isn't a true shower without having to guess what melted candy bars are in the diaper.
It was pretty funny watching everyone else try and guess though.
All of the great gifts baby Kingston got. It was so crazy opening all of these boy things, but super exciting.
I haven't done too many crafts with the girls lately, so I decided we needed to get busy! We made cute little heart shaped animals for Valentine's Day.
Bostyn was obsessed with the glue stick. Both of the girls kept fighting over who got to use the glue the whole time.
She was so excited about her heart puppy. She picked out all of the colors and glued them on herself.
Brooklyn wanted to make a heart butterfly. All I had to do was trace the line to cut out the hearts, and she did the rest. She is growing up too fast!
They were both so excited to get a Valentine's Day package in the mail from Grandma Sherri.
Of course they loved the treats,
and the cute little stuffed animals.
Bostyn is finally starting to smile for pictures, instead of running away!

So that is what has been going on the past couple of weeks! It is so crazy that this month is already half way over!

Life in January!

January went by so stinking fast! I guess that is what happens when you stay busy all month long! To celebrate New Year's Eve, the night before, I took off all of our Christmas decorations after the girls went to bed and re-decorated it party style!
They were pretty surprised and excited to see the party tree the next morning. We were excited to have our own little New Year's Eve party that night.
We made pizza and homemade ice cream-had a picnic on the floor and watched movies.
Oh and cookies too of course!

Love them!
We didn't make it til midnight, so we watched a YouTube video of last years ball drop on the computer.
The girls had fun counting down and waiting for the ball to drop.
They were pretty surprised when we sprayed them with silly string.
Bostyn wasn't too impressed with it.
The next day we headed up to the lake to watch the New Years Day Polar Bear Plunge.
It was a pretty day, but still freezing cold! It was fun to watch all the brave people run out and splash around.
Afterwards the girls wanted to stay and walk around the lake for a little bit.

It was such a nice day, but the water was freezing! That didn't stop Bostyn though.
We live in such a pretty place!
They love the lake no matter what season!
Brooklyn has always loved to paint, and now Bostyn does too.
This girl is such a little goofball.

Brooklyn has really been into doing her own hair lately...this day she came out with every bow we own in her hair!
When Brooklyn is at school, I get to hang out with this cute girl all morning.
She loves her dolls, and always has them with her.

On our way to Baker for a baby shower, we stopped in and got Brooklyn's hair cut! She really wanted to get her hair cut short.
I was a little sad to see her long hair go, but she loves her new hair cut. It is super cute and made her look so much older.
On Martin Luther King day, Greg had work off so we took a picnic up to the lake and played for a little bit.
It was a little chilly and snowy up at the top of the lake, but we still had fun!

Now that we were finally done traveling for a while Bostyn was ready to start potty training! She did so great and was accident free after just a couple of days! We aren't 100% done, but she only wears diapers at naps and bedtime.
30 weeks along-this pregnancy has been going by way too fast!
Brooklyn wanted a picture taken of herself...
Then she wanted to be the photographer.
It was time for the Eagle Cap Extreme Dog Race again this year. We got to go see the mushers and their dogs at the vet checks.
They both loved seeing the dogs!
The next day, the girls and I headed up to the mountains to watch the start of the sled dog races.
Lucky for us, it was a nice sunny day.
Waiting for the race to start.
It was fun being able to see the dogs take off! This race was a qualifying race for the Iditarod in Alaska.

Brooklyn and Bostyn loved watching the dogs and cheering for them as they ran by.

Love these two! It is so fun watching them play together now that Bostyn is older and can actually play.
 They are best friends!
Bostyn loves playing with her new birthday presents.
Her hair is getting so long, we can finally pull it up in fun little hairstyles.
These two love to play dress-up!
They come out with some pretty funny outfits.
Bostyn even dresses up while Brooklyn is at school. She always wants to wear this pink hat with every outfit.
These girls love to help bake!
We had to make two different batches of banana bread just so they could each have their own turn helping.
They looked so cute in their church dresses I had to take pictures!
The best part was I found both of these dresses for 25 cents at the little second hand store here.
At the end of the month Brooklyn got to go to a cheerleading camp fundraiser. Later that night all of the kids got to perform for half-time at the basketball game.
Bostyn loves watching basketball!
Brooklyn was so excited to be a cheerleader for the night!

Brooklyn loved every second of it. She loves to practice the cheers and jump around with her pom poms.

After the whole group of kids had performed, they brought the 5 year old girls back out to do a little stunt. Brooklyn was lucky enough to be the girl that got lifted up.
The crowd cheered so loud for these cute little girls. They had the biggest smiles on their faces!
I think we have a future cheerleader on our hands. Lucky for her Grandma and Papa Baxter had made it into town in time to watch her cheer.
Bostyn loved watching Brooklyn and cheering for her. They are so cute together!

This month was a whirlwind but we had lots of fun little adventures!
