4th of July

I love summertime, especially when we get to celebrate the 4th of July!
Every year Greg's family has a special breakfast outside.

Then we all headed to Haines for the 4th of July Parade. Brooklyn loves running after the candy.
Bostyn was pretty content hanging out in the stroller though.
We even had cool 4th of July toes!

Pattie is one of our best family friends. She adores the girls and snatches up Bostyn any chance she gets!

After the parade, Brooklyn got her face painted.
She just had to have a pink and purple butterfly, it was so cute!

Grandma and Bostyn after the parade.
We snapped a few pictures of the girlies after the parade-These two are Bff's.
 Love this!
We took Brooklyn and Bostyn to their first rodeo! We all loved the bull riding the best.
Someone even caught a few Zzzzzs.
It was so sunny and hot, Brooklyn just had to have an ice cream cone!

Look at those little chubby cheeks!!
It was so hot that by the end of the rodeo she had sweated off most of her butterfly.

Our attempt at a family picture after the rodeo.
Later that night we had a few friends over for dinner and fireworks.
Our friends from Florida the Hostetters were in Baker for an internship. Poor little Skylar was so scared of the fireworks, he wouldn't uncover his face at all.
McKenzie on the other hand, loved them!
My favorite part of the celebrations, of course, are the fireworks!

I even had a chance to sport my light up flag hat!
Michelle made this awesome cake. She wouldn't tell us what kind it was or anything, we just had to wait and see what was inside.
 Brooklyn was pretty excited!
 Time to unveil the cake!
We all thought it was so awesome! No wonder she kept it a surprise!
After we finished doing all of our stuff at the house, we geared up and headed back to Haines to watch their firework show. Brooklyn was so excited to go watch them!

We are definitely proud to be Americans and love celebrating this great holiday!

I loved Brooklyn's butterfly face and Bostyn's patriot shirt. And that flag cake was amazing. Your July 4th celebrations were stellar.
