All about April

During the first week of April Greg had more trainings to go to. This time it was in Baltimore, Maryland. We couldn't go with him, so instead we stayed home and Greg's mom came up to visit us for a few days.
One of the days we decided to take a picnic up to the lake and explore.
The girls loved having Grandma here for a few days.
Bostyn's main focus was the chips-she couldn't get enough of them.

After lunch, Brooklyn and Grandma tried to feed the leftover bread to the geese-they weren't interested and just waddled away.
I love this picture of Brooklyn. She is growing up way too fast!
Even though the "beach" wasn't very sandy, they had fun digging in the rocks. I love how they are doing the exact same thing right here.
Love them! This was the best shot we could get of us.
Little Bostyn loves to explore and she LOVES to be outside and on the move.
Chewing her bubble gum. No matter where we go, she insists on getting bubblegum from the 25 cent machine.
Bosty Boo and Grandma by the lake.

Love this picture and her huge smile! She was in heaven being able to run around and explore.
That weekend we decided to go back to Baker with Karen and have Greg meet us there for conference weekend. I made our traditional basket of goodies to go with each apostle that spoke.
Brooklyn loves running to look in the basket to see what prize matches the speaker.
Saturday night after the guys went to their meetings, Papa brought back ice cream for everyone.
Bostyn LOVES Dilly Bars.

So does Brooklyn.
Brooklyn loves to be outside too! Whenever I can't find her in the house I just have to look out the window and she is usually out walking around or climbing on the rocks in the back yard.
We finally made our way to Rexburg to meet this cute little guy! Two of Greg's brothers and their wives were graduating from BYU-Idaho and baby Tallin was going to be blessed so we made the trip up to see everyone!
The girls were smitten by this cute little guy. They didn't want to stop holding and loving on him.

Bostyn loved feeling his soft, long hair! Brooklyn loves being the oldest cousin.
I had to fight for my turn to hold this cute little baby.
Brooklyn tracked me down pretty quick and stole him away from me.

 Baby Tallin is sooo adorable!
While everyone else was at graduation, Courtney and I got to stay home and play with the kiddos.
I couldn't resist taking tons of pictures of him!
Aunt Courtney had to fight Brooklyn for him too-but she wasn't up for sharing him!
1 month old and so handsome!
Brooklyn is a proud cousin for sure!
I was able to sneak away and take some graduation pictures of these good looking people too!
Sunday was Tallin's baby blessing. Because Zack and Nicole were leaving for Arizona right after the blessing, we all got together before for a fun lunch party.
A shot of the whole group that came for the blessing.
Greg had to stay home and work which was no fun, but the girls and I had so much fun getting to see these guys before they moved away for medical school!
We miss these guys already!!
The 3 cute little cousins! I can't wait for them all to grow up with each other.
After the blessing it was a mad dash to get everyone packed and ready to leave for the airport. While everyone was running around I snapped a few pics of Tallin in his blessing outfit.
He was so handsome!
 Love those cute baby feet.
I don't think anyone could get enough of him all weekend long!
I tried to just put a little clippie in Bostyn's hair, but she wasn't a fan and kept trying to rip it out-she looked so stinking cute though!
Now that our flowers are blooming in the front yard, Brooklyn keeps me supplied with a bowl of fresh flowers. She LOVES to pick flowers-as soon as one blooms she will run out and pick it.

At the end of the month Brooklyn started T-ball! She was so excited for her first game, but it was FREEZING outside!
Bostyn loved these cute little chairs.
The Sprouts!
Bostyn and her pal Lucy.
During their first few practices Brooklyn got to be really good friends with this little girl-Kale.
They were pretty cute together.
Just chillin' during the game.

They were all so cute and little.
Going up for her first time to bat!
This picture kills me! She was so intense as she was running home.
Our month was so fun and so busy that it seriously went by in a flash!!

Easter

It was a little weird having Easter in March this year, but we made the best of it! The 12 days before Easter, we started a countdown, reading about  a different part of the Easter story each night..
The girls would both fight over who got to pick the egg for that night. It was a fun tradition and a good way to remember what Easter really is all about.
Every holiday we make sugar cookies for Greg to take to work.
The girls love helping frost and decorate them.

Our town had a huge Easter egg hunt at the park, and even had the Easter Bunny. Brooklyn thought it was awesome, but Bostyn wanted to run away as fast as she could.

This was as close as she would get to the Easter Bunny, and she was still freaking out about it.
The girls got to go in the same age category, which was nice so we could watch both of them.
Brooklyn took off and just kept running to the back of the field, and picked up eggs as fast as her little hands would let her.
Bostyn on the other hand took her sweet time.

They were so cute, and had so much fun!
Even though Bostyn was more interested in her stick, than the eggs.

They made out with quite the loot.
Easter morning their dresses and baskets were waiting for them.
Brooklyn was so excited, and Bostyn didn't really know what to think.

They both loved finding what the Easter Bunny had hidden for them.

We love this picture. It was pretty much impossible to get them both looking, smiling, and keeping the ears on!
For about a week leading up to Easter, we had that big box outside the window sitting in our garage. Brooklyn kept asking and asking what was inside, and she thought it was full of tools.
Finally on Easter we showed her the picture of what was in the box-a swing set. She was SOOO excited!
All ready for church-Bostyn was not wanting her picture taken though.

They were so adorable in their matching dresses.
Thank goodness for self timers, or we would never have any family shots!
After a couple of days we finally got the swing set put together and Brooklyn has been in heaven!
We finally got around to dying East Eggs the day after Easter...better late than never, right?
Bostyn just wanted to eat the egg.

She was pretty upset when I put the dye out of her reach.
Brooklyn always loves any holiday activity.

Brooklyn picked out the Easter Egg kit this year, and had so much fun decorating the eggs after they had dried.
They were so funny to look at! I love the faces that we came up with.
We couldn't look at them without laughing!
We finally got to try a new method that I have been wanting to do! You crack the eggs and them stick them in the dye overnight in the fridge. In the morning you un-peel them and have Dino Eggs.

Both of the girls loved them!

We had so much fun celebrating Easter! Not only do we love to do all of the fun holiday traditions, but we get to focus more on our Savior and his Atonement for us!
