Halloween 2013!

We love Halloween at our house! I couldn't wait to decorate and start all of our fun holiday traditions.
We love doing fun crafts and this time we made footprint ghosts,
 and handprint spiders!
Greg and I helped plan our church's Halloween party and Trunk-or-Treat! It was so much fun and we had such a great turn out. We had a chili and pie cook-off, costumes, games, and of course a trunk-or-treat!

Brooklyn loved that she got to dress up as Sofia the First.
 Bostyn was an adorable Cinderella.
After dinner and all of the games, it was time to go outside and get candy!
Bostyn was quite the pro at it!
 They were so cute together!

Brooklyn picked our costume theme again this year, that girl takes dressing up very seriously.
Prince Charming with his two princesses!
I have such a great friend that mailed me her Snow White outfit so we could all be princesses. It was so fun to dress up with them!
Our trunk..it's hard to tell but it was supposed to be a mouth with teeth and a big tongue...
A few days before Halloween, we finally carved our pumpkins! The girls loved it this year.
In our family, I take over the carving and Greg and the girls unwrap the caramels for caramel apples.
She got caught in the act sneaking some caramels.
We all love the yummy caramel apples!
 Carving one of three pumpkins!
They snacked and kept me company while I carved.
The finished products: Sofia the First, Little Mermaid, and a cute little bat!

Brooklyn looked so cute going to school on Halloween day. Bostyn had a cute little shirt too, but I didn't get a chance to take a picture of her in it!
It was a cold rainy day, but luckily right before it was time to go trick-or-treating, it stopped raining and we were able to go!
Our royal family!
I love our little town! Every Halloween all of the shops on main street stay open late for trick-or-treaters to come to their businesses. It is so fun walking around seeing everyone dressed up.

Bostyn knew exactly what she needed to do!

Kids from the schools colored cute signs for the shops to put in their windows, to let us know they were open.
These girls had so much fun!

After we went to all of the shops, we stopped at a little Halloween Carnival.
Brooklyn loves doing the cake walks.
She did it for almost 10 minutes; then Bostyn decided she wanted to try.

The lucky girl won on her first go around.
Brooklyn kept going around and around until she finally won. She was so happy!
One of our favorite things about this carnival is the unlimited free cotton candy!
They loved playing all of the fun carnival games.
 And getting their faces painted.

By the end of the night, we were all exhausted and ready for bed!
We sure love Halloween!
