August was a busy month for us, which seems to fit the theme of our lives this summer! We were always on the go.
I managed to snap a few pics of Bostyn at 19 months. She finally sat still enough and even smiled for a few pictures.
She is such a happy, silly little girl and we love her to death!
One of our favorite things to do this summer was go to R & R and get the 25 cent ice cream cones.
Despite the seriousness, Bostyn loves to go get ice cream!
Before we left on one of our trips, we stopped at the local fair to check out the animals.
Brooklyn loved looking at all of the animals.
The next day we head to Nevada to visit Papa Frank and Grandma Helen. As soon as we got there they pulled out the little 4-wheeler and let Brooklyn go to town on it.
She loved riding it, Bostyn however wasn't so sure about it and didn't want to stay on very long.
While we were there, we drove up to the mountains to try and find some waterfalls.
The little road got too bad to drive on, so we stopped and let the girls walk in the creek instead.
While we were there, the girls fell in love with Rachel, Papa Frank's puppy. They loved to lock each other in her cage and play with her.
We also made a trip to the lake to splash around.
The girls always love playing in the water, where ever we go.
It was a pretty windy day, so we didn't stay too long.
Right before we were getting ready to go eat dinner, Brooklyn slammed her thumb in the van door. It was pretty swollen and purple, so Grandma Helen wrapped it all up for her.
The night before we left we finally remembered to take a couple of group pics.
The girls and Rachel. They both fell in love with this dog, and were so sad to leave her!
After we left Nevada, we headed to Bend, Oregon for Greg's DA meetings. While he was in the meetings, the girls and I went to the park, went swimming, and did some shopping.
They both loved this cute little park we found.
One of the afternoons, we drove up to the top of the little mountain in the middle of the town.
Brooklyn thought it was cool being up so high.
When we weren't out and about you would find us at the pool.
These girls love to swim, that's for sure!
We had so much fun just playing and hanging out for the week.
When we got home, the girls were all about playing on the swing set and learning new tricks on it.
Our pear tree was in full swing, and loaded with about 40 pears!
Of course we made more trips for ice cream

Almost every weekend we were home, Brooklyn begged to go camping. Every time we would plan on going it would rain all weekend. So we finally just set the tent up in the backyard and had our own little camp out.
We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows over the grill. The girls loved it!
Nothing better than a summer time S'more!
Greg and Brooklyn camped out 2 nights in a row, and had fun watching movies. Bostyn and I slept in our nice warm beds.
We have loved eating breakfast and dinner outside on our deck.
Brooklyn dressed up for the occasion, I wish I looked that good in the mornings.
She is beautiful!
Bostyn's new favorite thing to do is swing like a monkey on anything that will hold her.
This little girl is always getting into everything! This time she found my makeup drawer!
She thought it was pretty funny.
We had lots of fun in August, these months just keep going by faster and faster for us!
