We Need Your Help!

We need your guy's help deciding where we should go for law school! Greg and I are from around this part of the U.S. and have never really been away from home and we need to pick between Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville or University of Wyoming Law School in Laramie Wyoming. Both places have their pros and cons. Here are a few pics that we found contrasting the two places. We put a poll up on the side of our blog, so make sure to vote and give us your opinion!
Laramie Wyoming

OR

Jacksonville Florida

Is this a serious question? After looking at the photos, you should definitely pick Flordia! I've alwyas thought it would be so much fun to move far away for a few years to experience something new, then move back. Of course, the Lord has a plan for you, so assure that whatever you choose is in agreeance with him.

I think I already said this when you previously posted about Greg getting into law school in Florida.....

but PICK FLORIDA! Of course you should look at the costs of the schools and the quality of education, but if the two school are pretty close, you should definitely come here.

We live in Gainesville, which is a little over an hour from Jacksonville. North Florida is a really fun place to live. Of course there is the beach but there are lots of other cool places too, like different nature parks and natural springs, TONS of stuff you can do for pretty cheap. We haven't spent too much time in Jacksonville, but there are always lots of concerts there, it's a little bigger than Gainesville so nobody comes to Gainesville.

North Florida is really cool. There are big cities but you don't have to go very far out of the city to get into some pretty rural towns! We love it. You can email me if you have any questions.

I totally agree with Karen. Is this honestly even a question??!! ha I would definitely live in Flordia anyday over Wyoming. You would be so close to lots of fun places to explore and visit and I'm sure your family would jump on the gun to come visit you guys. It isn't like you'll get an experience like this. Also, from a church stand point. You will have tons of missionary opportunities living in a place like this. Can't wait to hear where you decide to go!!

Is this a REAL question? I don't get it? You are going to Florida right?

I voted for ya but I won't say what I picked. I'm excited to see where you guys decide to go. Crazy to have such huge decisions to make isn't it?

Ha ha! you guys are so funny. Florida will be so nice and warm and to live that close to the beach will be awesome. Of course I would love it if you lived in Wyoming, so we could stop and see you whenever we drove to and back from Iowa. If you move to Florida, when will we see you guys! :(

haha oh man Kacey, i'm not sure if you are going to like my comment...

here goes!

florida is very different. here is my disclaimer: south florida is even more different from north florida. so, you may have a better experience than we do. aside from the fact that you will have GOOD weather year round, and beach access almost year round :) there are a few cons. and honestly, when we went up to orlando we LOVED it, but i think it's because we were in the "tourist-y" area. here are a few pointers: everything costs money. toll roads, entertainment, etc. pretty much the ONLY cheap entertainment will be the beach and your pools at your complex! there is a LOT of crime. florida is SO bad because there are so many different cultures. i'm going to blog about this later, but tonight our pizza delivery guy came up to our apartment, and immediately asked that we call the cops. 1 black guy crawled in his back seat when he as walking to our apartment and 2 other black guys were waiting on he side of the complex, luckily he noticed it. within 5 minutes we had over 12 cops surrounding our apt. searching for the hijackers. over christmas 2 people got shot in our complex for hijacking a tow truck (scary!). people are really unfriendly, which you'll get used to really fast. anyway, sorry to bear all of this pessimism on you, florida really is a good experience we don't regret coming, but it's definitely a place that we don't want to live permanently nor raise our kids here. It all just depends on the type of area you end up in, too! so i really hope you guys have a good experience. if you have any questions you can always email me from my blog haha! good luck
